About CISV
CISV is an independent, non-political, worldwide volunteer organization promoting peace education and cross-cultural friendship. It is a charitable organization, completely independent of any government, political party, religious body or other "umbrella" organization. CISV is, however, affiliated with UNESCO as a category "C" NGO (Non-Government Organization). We find our UNESCO affiliation has been invaluable in establishing CISV's credentials in all constituencies of the world as an independent youth organization that is truly international, multicultural, and non-political.
