Junior Branch
Junior Branch (JB) is the branch of CISV that is run by and devoted to the juniors, or kids. JB members are between 11 and 25 years of age. They develop intercultural skills, such as awareness of international matters, global environment and social sensitivity through educational and social activities consistent with CISV's goals. While they have an adult advisor, the Junior Branch is encouraged to assume administrative responsibility and to be self-governing.
JB holds their own meetings and has its own board. JB is also a way for people who are
- currently not traveling,
- have not traveled,
- new to CISV or
- currently in CISV to stay involved and continue to be a part of the organization.
JB has events throughout the year as a way to
- further peace education
- help the community
- just to have fun
